Who are the members of IVY?

IVY is a group of youth who share the following characteristics:

• They are students from the 8th grade through high school.
• They are in the group of their own free will.  They have made a personal commitment to the group, its mission, and its activities.
• They combine their many talents and boundless energy to the common goal of spiritual exploration.
• They have a mature willingness to learn about each other’s religions, to practice respect for differences, to be open to dialogue, and to practice good listening.  They enjoy each other, laugh together a lot, cry together, work together, play together, and ultimately take the risk of loving one another.
• They have taken responsibility for the functioning of the group.  They choose their own leadership and work with the adult facilitators to do the business of the group.
